Clive Parish Council has been approached by residents to investigate possible improvements to the poor and patchy mobile phone signal in the parish. This has led to discussions with Shropshire Council and Atlas Tower Group re. a possible communications mast within the parish. The proposed mast would rent space to different mobile network providers.

At this very early stage the Parish Council is in support of the proposal in principle, however we are very keen to know what the community thinks about a potential communications mast in the parish, and any thoughts, questions, or concerns you may have. Please do email any feedback on the information below to the Parish Council Clerk and consider attending the next Council meeting on October 17th 2024.

Please be assured that if the overall community feeling is against the proposal for a mast, then the Parish Council will respect that. Atlas Tower Group have also reiterated that their preference is to work in areas where there is sufficient community support.

See PDF below for some slides from Atlas Tower group which provides more information on the proposed communications mast.

NB. Landowners are yet to be approached, and the locations on the slides are therefore indicative only. Atlas Tower Group share the predicted coverage so that they can show the difference between the locations, and the impact that the distance/terrain has on each. Should the parish council/community support the proposed mast, Atlas Tower Group are only looking for consensual landowners. If those approached are not wanting to consider a mast, they will discount that option and will not contact them again.
